Whether it’s for your bedtime reading or morning cuppa, a good bedside lamp is essential. Not only practical, but a pair of bedside lamps leaves your bedroom beautifully styled. And, if you’re feel confident, mix them up. No one ever said they had to match.

Marble has made a real come-back in recent years. Looking at design trends for 2017, it seems set to stay. And rightly so. With it’s rich texture, pattern and colour, it’s the perfect natural material to add luxury and opulence to your space.
Although marble kitchen worktops are stunning and a marble bathroom floor exudes timeless elegance, you don’t need to go all out to bring a little marble-luxe into your home.
So, banish all thoughts of marble sculptures from Classical Antiquity. Beautiful as they are, here I’m looking at easy, contemporary ways to add some subtle glamor into your life. And ones that don’t break the bank.
1. Luxe Drinks Bar Table
What better way to start than with this drinks bar table. The epitome of opulence. But oh so practical too. This gorgeous design from Oliver Bonas George, combines marble with a gold metal effect for a truly up-to-date, yet enduring, classic.
2. Industrial Coffee Table
If you prefer a more industrial look then try a combination of marble and dark iron metalwork. This angular yet airy coffee table from West Elm totally works the Industrial vibe but is also surprisingly versatile.
3. Contemporary Clock
Even just accessorising with marble can add a layer of luxury to your room. The contemporary design of this wall clock from made.com combines marble and a warm copper to stunning yet simple effect. Hang on a dark inky wall for maximum impact.
4. Colourful Coasters
And to prove that marble doesn’t have to be the milky white finish you so typically see, take a look at these marble coasters from Rocket St George. They have it all; colour, pattern, vibrancy. They ooze updated opulence; and all for under £10.
5. Marble effect
Finally, if you find the feel of actual marble a little too cold, or if you just can’t get enough, then this season’s marble effect trend is for you. Sink into a soft, marble effect colourful cushion (below; Oliver Bonas) or enjoy a dramatic marble wallpaper (below; Piet Hein Eek).
Go on; have fun. Introduce a little marble-luxe into your life.
