Chrome and steel metal finishes are practical and they won’t go away, but there is a recent move towards using warmer toned metallics in interiors, such as gold, brass and copper.  We thought we’d show you some of our favourite ways to use them in your own home. We’re starting with one of the most popular metallics this year – copper.

1. ROSE & COPPER: Pink is THE colour of Spring 2016 with Pantone naming Rose Quartz as one of their two colours of the year. Mixed with copper it really is a new classic.

Combine statement copper pendants with soft pinks for a warm but contemporary look. Balance the pink with greys, and layer with geometric patterns to avoid an overly feminine look (Image Credit: muuto.com via Pinterest).

Or, use pink where it’s unexpected and mix with traditional copper kitchen utensils for a refined, yet rustic look (Image Credit: residencemagazine.se).

3. COPPER & BOTANICALS: We love combining raw materials which can really add depth and texture to a space.  Work copper in with timber and an abundance of plants for a stylishly relaxed look (Image Credit: Danae Horst).

If you just prefer just a hint of this look, try some mini-copper planters with succulents.  A cute way to introduce a touch of copper into your life! (Image Credit: juliakostreva.com)
